چکیده
Abstract Remixed Eulerian numbers are a polynomial q -deformation of Postnikov’s mixed numbers. They arose naturally in previous work by the authors concerning permutahedral variety and subsume well-known families polynomials such as -binomial coefficients Garsia–Remmel’s -hit We study their combinatorics more depth. As , they shown to be symmetric unimodal. By interpreting them computing success probabilities simple probabilistic process we arrive at combinatorial interpretation involving weighted trees. decomposing permutahedron into certain cubes, obtain second interpretation. At $q=1$ former recovers whereas latter Liu’s interpretation, both which were obtained via methods different from ours.

Derivatives and Eulerian Numbers
The aim of the present note is to give a closed form formula for the nth derivative of a function which satisfies Riccati’s differential equation with constant coefficients. The paper is organized as follows. In section 2 we recall the definition and basic properties of Eulerian numbers. We introduce and prove the mentioned formula in section 3. Some examples where the formula can be applied ar...
متن کاملEulerian-Catalan Numbers
We show that the Eulerian-Catalan numbers enumerate Dyck permutations. We provide two proofs for this fact, the first using the geometry of alcoved polytopes and the second a direct combinatorial proof via an Eulerian-Catalan analogue of the Chung-Feller theorem.

متن کاملNew Eulerian Numbers of Type $D$
We introduce a new array of type D Eulerian numbers, different from that studied by Brenti, Chow and Hyatt. We find in particular the recurrence relation, Worpitzky formula and the generating function. We also find the probability distributions whose moments are Eulerian polynomials of type A, B and D.
